The Repto Jungle Drinking Cascade combines flowing water, an attractive drinking spot, and a natural jungle atmosphere in a single terrarium decoration. The built-in DC pump circulates water from the reservoir through the various levels of the waterfall. You can easily adjust the water flow using the digital controller. This allows you to create a gently flowing water feature that fits perfectly in a tropical terrarium or paludarium.
Repto Jungle Drinking Cascade for reptiles and amphibians
Many tropical reptiles and amphibians respond more strongly to moving water than to still water in a traditional drinking bowl. In the wild, for example, chameleons often drink raindrops from leaves, while day geckos, anoles, and various tree frogs take in water from plants and other surfaces.
The constant movement makes the water more visible and can encourage animals to explore the watering spot. The different tiers ensure that the water flows gently downward and is accessible from multiple positions. Always keep an eye on whether your animal is actually drinking from the waterfall. Not every individual animal will use a new watering station right away.
Realistic terrarium waterfall with adjustable pump
The included DC pump keeps the water moving. With the digital controller, you can adjust the flow rate to suit the terrarium and its inhabitants. For small geckos and amphibians, a gentle current is generally more suitable, while in a larger enclosure, a bit more water movement may be desirable.
The integrated reservoir has a capacity of 1.4 liters. The pump circulates the water in the reservoir, so you don’t need to install a separate water supply or drain. Check the water level daily. Evaporation can cause the level to drop, which could eventually cause the pump to run dry.
Running Water and Humidity in a Tropical Terrarium
The moving water can help increase humidity in the immediate vicinity of the waterfall. The effect depends on the temperature, ventilation, and size of the terrarium. Therefore, the waterfall is not a substitute for a humidifier or misting system if your pet requires a precisely controlled humidity cycle.
Use a digital hygrometer to monitor the actual humidity level. This will prevent the terrarium from becoming unnoticedly too dry or, conversely, constantly too wet. A well-maintained tropical terrarium combines appropriate humidity with adequate ventilation and allows surfaces to dry out periodically.
Jungle Decor for a Natural Interior Design
With its design, the Repto Jungle Drinking Cascade complements terrariums featuring cork, vines, moss, bromeliads, and other tropical plants. The waterfall measures approximately 25 × 24 × 35 centimeters, making it a distinct part of the decor without dominating the entire living space.
Place the cascade on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around it to remove the waterfall from the terrarium for cleaning. Branches and plants can be arranged so that climbing animals can easily reach the drinking area.

Hygienic Use of Circulating Drinking Water
Running water does not automatically remain free of bacteria. Feces, live feed, substrate, and plant debris can end up in the reservoir and are then circulated throughout the system. Therefore, change the water daily and clean the Repto Jungle Drinking Cascade, the reservoir, and the pump regularly.
Check the pump for dirt and limescale buildup. Clean water and regular maintenance help prevent clogs, odors, and biofilm. Do not use harsh cleaning agents that may leave harmful residues.
Instructions for use
Rinse all parts thoroughly before first use. Fill the reservoir with clean water and set the pump to a low flow initially. Check that the water flows completely back into the reservoir and does not splash outside the cascade. Never let the pump run dry.
Change the drinking water daily and perform a thorough cleaning regularly. Place electrical outlets outside the terrarium and ensure the cable has a drip edge so that water cannot run toward the outlet. Also, keep an eye on whether your pet is using the waterfall as a drinking spot and, if necessary, provide an additional water source.
