The Repto 5 L Pressure Sprayer is a manual pressure sprayer designed for targeted misting of large terrariums or multiple enclosures in a row. The reservoir holds five liters of water. By building up pressure with the hand pump, you don’t have to constantly squeeze a trigger while spraying. Plus, the long spray lance makes it easy to reach plants, back walls, and hard-to-reach areas of the terrarium.
Repto Pressure Sprayer 5 L for Large and Multiple Terrariums
A small plant sprayer is handy for a single compact enclosure, but often needs to be refilled when used with a larger collection of terrariums. This Repto pressure sprayer has a 5,000-milliliter water reservoir, making it particularly suitable for caring for multiple tropical terrariums, a large paludarium, or various plant terrariums.
The pressure sprayer is operated entirely by hand and does not require a power connection. Fill the reservoir with clean water, close it tightly, and operate the pump a few times to build up pressure. You can then use the spray lance to direct the water where you want it.
Targeted spraying with a long spray lance
The long lance helps you reach deeper or higher areas of the terrarium. This allows you to moisten leaves, maintain a humid hiding place, or spray a selected section of the substrate without having to reach your entire arm into the enclosure.
Manual watering gives you direct control over where and how much water is applied. For example, you can moisten a planted back wall without getting the entire substrate wet. This is useful in terrariums where different humidity zones are needed and the animal must be able to choose between a drier and a more humid spot.
Water Droplets for Tropical Reptiles and Amphibians
Many geckos, chameleons, tree frogs, and other tropical terrarium animals drink water droplets from leaves and decorations. With the Repto 5 L Pressure Sprayer, you can apply these droplets manually. Do not spray directly or from close range onto the animal; instead, aim at plants and suitable surfaces where the droplets can be safely absorbed.
The required misting frequency varies depending on the species and terrarium setup. Check the humidity with a reliable digital hygrometer and don’t rely solely on condensation on the glass. A terrarium that appears wet can still dry out quickly due to strong ventilation, while constantly saturated substrate can actually cause problems.
Also suitable for houseplants and green walls
In addition to animal care, this pressure sprayer is useful for houseplants, moss walls, Hygrolon, cork walls, and other moisture-retaining materials. The spray lance allows you to apply water precisely where plant roots, moss, or epiphytes need it.
The sprayer can also be used for wabi-kusa, open plant terrariums, and larger collections of tropical houseplants. When using it in animal enclosures, use only clean water. Do not fill the same sprayer with fertilizers, cleaning agents, or pesticides if it will later be reused for providing drinking water in a terrarium.
Manual pressure sprayer or automatic misting system
The Repto 5 L Pressure Sprayer gives you maximum control during every misting session, but it does not operate automatically. You decide when, where, and how much to spray. This is practical when different terrariums have varying humidity needs or when you first want to observe how quickly each enclosure dries out.
If you want scheduled watering times while you’re away or multiple daily watering cycles, an automatic irrigation system is a better choice. The manual pressure sprayer remains useful for spot treatments, plant care, and additional watering.

Manual
Fill the reservoir with clean water and secure the sprayer properly. Gradually build up pressure using the hand pump and test the spray pattern outside the terrarium before you begin. Adjust the amount of water based on the animal species, ventilation, and substrate, and avoid areas that remain saturated for long periods.
Safely release any remaining pressure after use before opening the reservoir. Empty and rinse the sprayer regularly, and clean the lance and spray nozzle to prevent buildup. Store it empty, clean, and out of direct sunlight.
