The Repto 1 L Pressure Sprayer is a handy pressure sprayer that allows you to target smaller terrariums and specific humidity zones. By pumping a few times, you build up pressure in the reservoir, after which you can distribute water evenly without having to pull the trigger again with every spray. The one-liter capacity keeps the sprayer compact, lightweight, and easy to handle during daily terrarium care.
Repto 1 L Pressure Sprayer for Smaller Terrariums
This compact terrarium sprayer is designed for a single small enclosure or a limited number of terrariums. The 1,000-milliliter capacity is more than enough for targeted misting, but eliminates the need to move a large, heavy water tank.
The Repto 1 L Pressure Sprayer is ideal for tropical terrariums housing geckos, tree frogs, poison dart frogs, praying mantises, and other animals that require a periodically moist environment. The correct amount of water and spraying frequency always depend on the species, temperature, ventilation, and the type of substrate used.
Precise spraying with the included spray lance
The spray lance makes it easier to reach specific areas in the terrarium. For example, you can moisten leaves, apply water to a planted back wall, or spray the inside of a humid hiding spot without soaking the rest of the enclosure.
According to Repto, the sprayer can be used with or without the included lance. With the lance, you can work more precisely and reach deeper areas. Without the lance, the pressure sprayer remains more compact for general use and for quickly wetting easily accessible surfaces.
Water Drops for Reptiles, Amphibians, and Invertebrates
Many tropical terrarium animals drink rain and dew drops from leaves, branches, and decorations in the wild. By manually misting these surfaces, you make water droplets visible and accessible. This is especially important for animals that do not always easily recognize standing water as a drinking source.
Do not point the spray nozzle directly at the animal from close range. Spray plants and appropriate decorations so that your terrarium inhabitant can choose for itself whether to drink the droplets. A spray bottle does not automatically replace a water dish, drip system, or sprinkler system when the care requirements of the species in question call for them.
Localized moist areas without wetting the entire terrarium
Not every part of a terrarium needs to have the same humidity. By manually misting, you can deliberately maintain a moist hiding spot, moss corner, or planted area, while other zones remain drier. This creates more variation in the microclimate.
Check the humidity with a digital hygrometer and, if necessary, allow the enclosure to dry out partially between waterings. A substrate that remains constantly wet can lead to mold, bacterial growth, and an unhealthy living environment. Furthermore, the amount of water visible on the glass does not always accurately reflect the actual humidity level.
For terrarium plants, moss, and wabi-kusa
This compact spray bottle is also suitable for caring for tropical plants, bromeliads, mosses, Hygrolon, and small green backdrops. You can also use it for wabi-kusa, open plant terrariums, and bottle gardens with a wide, accessible opening.
Use a spray bottle designed for animal enclosures exclusively with clean water. Do not fill it with plant food, cleaning products, or pesticides if you plan to use it later to add water droplets to a terrarium. This will prevent unwanted residues from coming into contact with the animals.
Difference from the Repto 5 L Pressure Sprayer
The 1-liter model is lightweight, compact, and suitable for daily care of smaller enclosures. The Repto Pressure Sprayer 5 L has a larger reservoir and a longer spray lance. This model is more practical when you need to spray a large terrarium or multiple enclosures in succession.
For a small- to medium-sized terrarium, the 1-liter version takes up less storage space and is easier to handle.

Manual
Fill the reservoir with clean water and close the cap tightly. Gradually build up pressure using the hand pump and test the sprayer outside the terrarium first. Then aim at the leaves, decorations, or the area of the substrate you want to moisten.
After use, safely release any remaining pressure before opening the reservoir. Rinse the bottle, spray nozzle, and lance regularly, and store the pressure sprayer empty. Preferably use low-calcium water to minimize mineral buildup on glass, plants, and the spray nozzle.
