Oophaga Pumilio Red Frog Beach is a colorful locality of Oophaga pumilio from Bastimentos, in the Bocas del Toro region of Panama. This species remains small in size and lives primarily among leaf litter, roots, and low vegetation, although it also regularly climbs plants and branches. It is precisely this combination of compact size, daytime visibility, and distinctive behavior that makes it interesting for a carefully designed vivarium. Color variation is highly developed within Oophaga pumilio, and populations from different islands and areas are therefore often distinguished as distinct localities.

For Oophaga Pumilio Red Frog Beach, a stable, humid vivarium with plenty of structure works best. Think of leaf litter, climbing opportunities, hiding places, and plants with water-retaining leaf axils, such as bromeliads.
